Policies and Guidelines
To make everyone's workout as enjoyable as
possible, please follow some commonsense guidelines and policies when
using equipment in the fitness and free weight areas. Cell Phones
- Cell phone use permitted at front desk area only.
Towels
- Please bring in a small towel from home to
carry with you during your workout to absorb perspiration. The club
does not provide towels for this purpose.
Courtesy to Others
- Please place all belongings such as coats,
bags, etc. in a locker. Coats and bags should not be left on the floor,
counters or near exercise equipment.
- Avoid wearing heavy fragrances to the club.
- Wear clean, odor-free workout attire.
- Be aware of those working out around you waiting for equipment. Please allow them to work in with you.
- If you work out with a group of friends, please be aware of those who
may be waiting to do one set. Please invite others to work in with you.
- Please treat other members and the staff with the same courtesy you would expect.
Safety
- You must be 16 years of age to use the fitness or free weight center.
Children are not allowed in the fitness or free weight centers. - Please obtain proper instruction on the use of all exercise equipment before use.
- Keep head, limbs, fingers and hair clear of all moving parts when using the equipment.
- Please do not use equipment that is marked with a "Service Request Form" or if it appears damaged or inoperable.
- Please do not attempt to fix a broken or jammed machine. Notify staff.
- Use equipment for the intended use only. Please do not modify equipment.
- Please do not leave magazines, newspapers and reading racks on the floor. Please return them to their storage areas after use.
- If you change the grip on the Lat Pulldown from the wide grip to the "V" grip, please replace the wide grip when you are done.
- Carry resealable bottles only.
- Rack your weights and return all props, handgrips, etc. to their proper place after use.
- Wear appropriate workout attire for comfort (shirts for men) and to
lessen the wear and tear of the upholstery. Street clothes are not
recommended because belts, buttons, snaps, etc. can damage the
upholstery. No sandals or bare feet allowed.
- To avoid tripping, please do not leave body bars or other props in the middle of the floor or in the flow of traffic.
- Free weight equipment is not allowed in the circuit or cardio rooms.
- If you move a piece of equipment, please return it to its place after
you have used it. (Equipment, except benches, should not be moved
without the permission of a manager.)
- Utilize spotters and safety locks when necessary. If you need a spotter, please ask a fitness instructor for help.
Please use collars to secure weight plates on bars.
Equipment Cleaning
- Wipe down both cardiovascular and resistance equipment after each use with the spray solution and paper towels provided.
- When cleaning equipment, please do not spray the solution directly on
the machine. Spray the paper towel first, then wipe down the equipment.
This will avoid inadvertently spraying other members and areas of the
equipment that should not get wet.
Children Policies
- Children are defined as 15 years and under
- Children must present their membership card at the front desk to be allowed family use
- Children 15 years and under cannot hold a primary membership. They will
be restricted from the Fitness Center, Free Weight Area and Group
Fitness Classes.
- Parents with a child guest must complete a guest registration and pay a guest fee.
- Children must be directly supervises by their parent(s) while using the pool and the basketball court.
- Children may only use the swimming pool during designated time periods
(children's swim and open swim) with adult supervision. Refer to the
pool schedule.
- There is a family changing room outside the pool area. Children can also be changed in the upstairs bathroom.
- Children will not be allowed to sit and wait in any area of the club
(including the juice bar) while their parent(s) use the facility.
The staff is here to assist you if you observe the guidelines not being followed by others.
