No swimming experience necessary!
The Aqua Fitness program is designed to enhance all three aspects of fitness: muscular endurance and strength; cardiovascular capacity; and flexibility, while utilizing the water's properties of buoyancy and resistance. The water is an excellent choice of exercise for the general population including individuals with arthritis, as well as pregnant women. All classes end with a session of stretching.

Intro to Aqua
This class occurs on the first Tuesday of every month.
The first 15 minutes of both the a.m/p.m. classes will be devoted to new participants. Seven basic exercises and modifications will be demonstrated, including hand positions. Perfect for first time participants and for those wanting to fine-tune their workout!
Beginner
Gentle Wet Workout
A perfect place to start your aqua experience! This is a slower class that focuses on range of motion and stretching. Modifications will be given to control intensity as aerobic combinations are added to gradually elevate your heart rate. Older adults, individuals with arthritis or those recovering from injury will find this class ideal!

Cardio Low
A lower intensity aerobic workout designed to strengthen your cardiovascular system, followed by strength conditioning with hand buoy or noodles.
Beginner/Intermediate
Cardio Interval Splash
Warm up progressing into intervals of high & low intensity cardiovascular exercises followed by strength training and optional deep-water workout.
Intermediate
Cardio Mix
A Saturday morning surprise! Instructor's choice between Cardio Aqua, Interval Splash or Cardio Low or any combination of those classes.
Intermediate
Cardio Aqua
A faster paced aerobic workout in the shallow and deep ends of the pool to strengthen your heart, lungs and vasular system. Includes muscle conditioning and strengthening.
